Introduction
Two creative minds, one calm practice. RoSo = Rohit + Sonam
In this series, we have created towers of glassware, stacked with intention, using found objects & elements from home. Our work is minimal, sculptural and collaborative; rooted in calm.
Step 1: Pre-Production
Our still-life work begins with a feeling, letting the intuition take the lead.
We often collect natural elements like flowers, rocks etc. on our everyday walks. Using found objects with glassware, fruits and homemade fermented beverage made from black carrots; we brought these calmingly sculptural scenes to life.
Nature, impermanence, sculpture inspires us; rooted in calmness & timelessness.
Step 2: Shoot
So begins with playing around with different elements in silence; creating sculptures out of found objects and glassware / ceramics; then Ro comes into the scenes playing with shadows & light. Ro often creates shadows with unusual objects like a table mat, he often looks for forms that draw his attention in the moment.
We mark the images for final selection that we both align with; while we are shooting.

Step 3: Editing
Our whole process is collaborative; with moments of silence, calmness and excitement.
Once the shoot is done, So scans all images once again to change the selection if required. Keywords are added using Library feature in Lightroom.
Ro refines the assets through color grading; working with color balance, levels; curves and bringing the assets alive on screen. So takes them into Photoshop and final cleaning is done. When it comes to still-life, we work with minimal retouching to honour the values of impermanence & imperfection.
We create sculptural tablescapes for those who see stillness not as absence, but as expression.

Love to create alongside those who are attuned to quiet form, intentional detail, and the unspoken dialogue between objects.
